We launched an e-commerce site with API-based warehouse and catalog synchronization: orders are sent automatically to the warehouse system, and products and specifications are pulled back into the site from it.
An online store for mid-tier smartphone accessories — cables, chargers, cases, and audio — where customers can quickly browse products by category, review specifications and images, and place an order. Once an order is submitted, the order data is transferred automatically to the client’s custom in-house warehouse system, so the team can process fulfillment without manually re-entering anything. The product catalog, attributes, and media are updated on the site from the warehouse system, so the storefront always reflects real-time stock availability.
MOXOM’s official distributor in Ukraine sells smartphone accessories in the mid-market segment — cables, chargers, cases, and audio — positioned between unbranded imports and premium global brands, with manufacturer warranty across the range. For the business, the website is a critical sales channel — it has to handle a large catalog reliably and minimize manual work for the team. The assortment changes constantly, so any manual catalog updates quickly lead to errors in availability, pricing, and specifications.
Up-to-date catalog
Products, images, and specifications change frequently, and the team could not maintain them manually on the site without losing data quality.
Two-way integration
The site and the warehouse system had to be connected via API: orders flow into the operational system, and catalog data flows back to the storefront.
Stable UX
With a large assortment, categories and product pages had to be structured so customers could find the right item fast without getting lost in the specifications.
Fast launch
The project had to reach production quickly, on a stable technical foundation.
We proposed building a frontend with a clear catalog structure and a backend layer that would handle integration with the client’s custom warehouse system — so product data would update from a single source of truth and orders would flow automatically into the internal processing workflow. Directus was introduced as the headless CMS and admin panel so the client’s team could manage storefront content without developer involvement.
Warehouse synchronization
A data exchange layer so the site sends orders to the warehouse and receives catalog updates in return — product specifications, images, and attributes. Catalog, stock, and price changes propagate to the site in near-real-time via webhooks from the warehouse, with a scheduled reconciliation job running every 15 minutes as a safety net.
Catalog structure
Categories and product pages designed so that technical and usage specifications are easy to read and actually support the purchase decision.
Admin and content layer
Directus was configured as a headless CMS for storefront content, category metadata, banners, and any manual overrides not driven by the warehouse — giving the client’s team a clean back-office surface to work with.
Reliable order processing
Checkout and order-transfer logic built to minimize failures, duplicates, and lost orders between the site and the warehouse.
Modern e-commerce flow
A clean, modern UI with a strong focus on fast catalog browsing and a straightforward checkout.
We started by understanding how warehouse operations and order processing actually worked. We documented typical scenarios: how to handle products without images, how to treat items that enter the warehouse as variations, and how fulfillment errors are managed. We also fixed which catalog fields are the source of truth on the warehouse side and which values should be generated on the site during checkout.
After launch, the client had a working online sales channel that doesn’t add operational load through manual catalog maintenance.

discrepancies between the site and the warehouse
